Wow, another August birthday! Great cake for a great job in progress. I didn't realize that there was so much involved in crafting a guitar. Thanks for sharing all the steps involved that you have done so far. Happy Belated Birthday!!

Been following your progress on this beautiful guitar! Don't know if you would even consider selling it, but I'm thinking a Texan somewhere would just love to get his hands on it. (You know - Lone Star State and all) Beautiful! Beautiful!!:)
Can't close without noting the passage of the Great Les Paul, the inventor of the electric guitar. Jimmy Hendricks and others have paid homage to Les. Anyone remember the music of Les Paul and Mary?
On a non-serious note, Happy Birthday!:D I see we share that date for our B-days. Wish you were on the calendar. Have you considered giving you birthdate in your profile?

Thanks! This one is far more work than I planned but the ones to follow should go much faster.
Peace,
Mark

Hi Chuck! Thanks for the kind comments.
A Texan already has his hands on it... me!
Les Paul was a visionary for sure. Not only in the realm of electric guitars...he is credited with inventing multi-track recording and the 8-track recorder itself.
And a Happy Belated Birthday to you, too.
Peace,
Mark

The blue bar has been sprayed and it's starting to look like the guitar I've been waiting for all these months. I'm very happy with the results...deep, rich color and lots of figure showing thru...the picture doesn't fully show it but the figure looks like it's boiling under there. Love it!
I'll have more pics and info on the build BLOG soon.
Peace,
Mark

The weather has been beautiful this weekend...highs in the 70's...unheard of in August. The humidity has also been low and I was able to get the back ot the guitar sprayed today. Just lots of wet sanding and clear coats left to go!
A couple of progress shots....
I haven't been able to update the build BLOG, and I'm falling behind. But I will this week for sure.
Peace,
Mark
