Your thoughts on colors?

Hey Mike,

Based on your PM I checked out that race track you asked about. Yes, that is a race track, but I reckon it is probably a horse track.

I live about 75 km south-east of that location, about 5 km from the beach.

Hi all,

With my restoration starting from the bottom and working up, it's almost time to start painting the legs.

I haven't yet been able to decide if I want to try matching the original paint scheme, or use my own colors. I would like to use paints with the "hammered" finish to hide any imperfections in the metal, but That's as far as the decision goes at this stage.

Your opinions? Should I go original or personal? Is there any benefit either way?

Check out Rustoleum Hammered paints, # 7211 Deep Green for a "greenie", or # 7213 Silver for the Mark V color. Menards lumber carries them.
