I'm not absolutely certain what is going on here but I do believe that it all involves two different postings that I made and was later told that I was in error. In one, I had posted pictures that were improperly labeled or out of order which ever way you want to look at it. The other was an incorrectly spelled word.

In each case, I made the necessary corrections to the original posts but only after that post had already been "quoted". Once quoted, a post remains that unchanged in the documents that originally quoted it.

I don't think that I denied making any errors----I simply corrected the errors that had been pointed out to me. There was no deception...there certainly was no deception intended.

If it was me (my posts) that created all of this fuss, I do sincerely apologize (to all members of this forum who might have been mislead) and in the future when I change something that has been previously quoted by anyone, I will attempt to somehow acknowledge or highlight that fact.

If that doesn't work, I'll just have to spend a lot more time hand sanding and less time on the computer.

THIS - https://forum.shopsmith.com/viewtopic.php?p=65310&postcount=21

is where the 'confusion' escalated! I think you were being tongue in cheek(rolling eyes), but all who did not 'see' the original posting would be confused.

This indirect denial of any 'operator error' is what 'lit my fire' and caused way too much ado about it!:o

Forget hand sanding! It dulls one's mentality(unless thinking about solving the world's problems while doing it!).;)

Pax Amicus (I think I got that correct - been 55 yrs since Latin class)

P.S. Beware of ANYTHING Mickyd posts that seems strange! I am still waiting for my free tour of the ss facility that he said I would receive after my 1000th post! :>)

Dusty please accept my deepest apology for getting this whole foolishness going. I just thought that your inadvertant misspelling was ironic because of your location. Who knew what it would lead to.

JPG just to clarify you did say "misquoted" not "mesquoted" didn't you? ;)

Paul, You actually did not 'quote' my original post. If you had there would have been a leading '
=shipwright' but there was not there was only the closing '
'. There was a closing quote but not the opening quote therefore it is text just like this statement.

My spell checker doesn't like "mosquites" for some reason.

I did not say mosqueted nor mosquited either!

I saw NO PROBLEM with the mos/mes scenario. I thought readers after the fact could figger that one out!

You guys are a hoot! I guess growing up without a lot of TV makes entertainment easy. Fun, informative and inexpensive, no wonder the rest of the world don't get it!!!

In my entertained state, I forgot to wish you well on the trip. Be safe.
