Just install an extension table in that end. Stand at the end of the table and take a hold of both ends of the extension table and pull it to you/push it away from you. If you feel no movement, you have no slop. If you feel movement, you might be able to eliminate it by using a wedge.JPG40504 wrote:Interesting! I have not noticed 'hinge slop'. This same wedge might reduce the flex that some feel when using the tailstock.

Since you have two extension tables you are blessed with the ability to align one for the left side and one for the right side and you don't need to bother with interchangeability.chas410 wrote:I've noticed the same problem, My 2 aux tables are NOT intechangeable from side to side. However, it bugs me when something like this happens to me. When it happens to someone else and I can not touch and feel for myself, it bugs me even more. This can be fixed.
