Yes! Inquiring minds need to know!

The history of the Shopsmith is of great interest to me. I thought I had collected copies (digital if not physical) of just about every piece of official literature (not counting variations of the manuals through the years). I've never even heard of these videos and would love to hear the story behind them. Production as well as how they came into your possession!

THANK YOU so much for sharing them with us!

Greetings woodworkers,

About 10 years ago there was a guy who somehow obtained the old PTWFE 16mm film. He took up a collection to cover conversion costs. That's when I got a dvd copy. The dvd jacket says the dvd is for historical and informational purposes only and may not be sold or played for commercial purposes. I am making these videos available privately to members of this forum as a way of respecting the makers of the film and the contributors who paid for the conversion. Think of us as a woodworking club and it's movie night.

I really enjoyed watching these films 10 years ago and it's been fun watching them again and sharing them with all of you, the people who care the most about woodworking, Shopsmith and safety.

Best,
Tom

After this post I know it is probably dumb to ask but would you be willing to make a copy of the DVD for private use? I would swear on a stack of walnut not to use it anywhere but in my own personal abode to keep with the original theme of respecting the original makers wishes and not repost it anywhere??? Just asking and if you do not want to do that I completely understand but don't know until you ask.

A stack of walnut? :D

I have lost contact with the conversion coordinator but let me see see if that person is still around.
