Power on/off switches in the older Mark 5s: are the older toggle switches dpst?
If yes, were they typically connected so that both the hot and neutral wires were switched?
This question is asked in an attempt to help raweber solve his tripped breaker problem (if that has not already been done).
This Sawdust Session might help.
The video linked above answers my two questions. I did not view/link the video until after posting them.
Nick, in the video, made reference to double pole double throw (dpdt) switches but I do not believe that double throws are typically used. The switches that he demonstrated were double pole single throw (dpst).
A double throw (dt) switch has two "on" positions (on/off/on). A single throw switch is either on or off (on/off).

Yes! They come both ways! Two position dpdt and three position center off dpdt.(and spdt...)

OKAY - if you say so. Now tell me, why might I want a
toggle switch with no off position but 2 on positions (on/on).

A DPDT switch has NO OFF positions. It has two on positions. Either position may be on, never both. So you connect to the center common and one position only. That way when the opposite unconnected position is on, the connected position is off. So, both positions are on, but you only use one of them.
BTW the switch in you link will work perfectly, but it's been discontinued.

Using a momentary switch on the Mark 5/V might get a bit tricky.
