My late dad served in the US Navy aboard the USS Kaskaskia, a fleet oiler, in the South Pacific at the close of WWII.

Wayne Chamberlain LTC US Army Ret. 27 years of active duty with 2-1/2 in RVN. (They kept sending me back; I never did get it right so they cancelled the war.
I served in cannon and ADA FA units in Germany. Also a FA and Infantry advisor in RVN .(No one but my laundress will ever know how scared I was.)

One of my grandfathers served on a bomber in WW2, and my other grandfather served as a pilot in Korea. I'm sad to say I don't know any other details. This is something I intend to rectify.
A great big thank you to all who have served. Without you, this country would be drastically different (or might not even exist at all).
