Mike, that's a wonderful offer. I am not in a great hurry to get my Mark VII back up and running as I have a fully functioning Mark 5 Greenie. If anyone can get aluminum or brass one's made at a reasonable cost, I'll be the first in line to buy a reprodution. In fact, that was my plan if I can get a good cam was to see if I could find a machine shop that would duplicate it.

I emailed him to make sure he was still up to making parts that are non firearm related and this is the email I received back.

Can Wannabewoodworker or mabe if someone else has a couple photos they can take with a ruler next to the cam (a couple different angles). This way it gives him a better understanding of what he need to do and will help to set a price. I found some pics online but none with a ruler next to it lol.
I would like one out of aluminum or brass myself but does anyone think one made out of steel and then painted be ok? Just wondering as Im thinking theres going to be a good price difference in the metals. Looking for opinions here.

I wood think that aluminum wood be the best choice here.

Also that the offer from wannabewoodworker wood be the way to go.

Don't know how this would go over with SS but if they could take a poll on the forum to see how many folks are in need of a cam they might be able to give a machine shop an order for 40 or 50 to satisfy demand. Just a thought.
