Ahh. Female MT2. Well, I just got done watching Mr. Pete on this exact function, he is a You Tuber who does excellent metal lathe vids. I can cut them. But, I need to try a couple times before I would send one out to you. That said, I'm having tons of fun with the machine and I see all kinds of things to make for the SS. I am going to finally cut the quill to properly seat 2 bearings into my 54...I've removed the other bearings in preparation.

Speaking of YouTube;
I recently saw a Ron Brese video about one of his premium infill planes. He's got it being drawn by only a length of string, and pulling off a continuous gossamer shaving of wood..... No weight on the plane other than its own mass. That's real precision.

PS: I checked the web site. Two grand would be a safe starting point. I wonder if he barters.

Probably more than upper management will approve.
Planes are hard to get by upper management. At least I could justify the south bend lathe with " I can make parts for the cars." or "I can finally do..."
A plane. Not so much.

Trust me....a plane has one function...and it doesn't save us money no matter how I spin it.
