Well, I find that my post regarding John Wayne had an error about where he lived. I must have remembered wrong as I thought I had read it in the Cleveland newspaper (Sunday edition) in 1967. Either I remembered it wrong as I remember having the discussion with my dad and step-mother then. Here is a good link of all the information and Herb and others are right about his birthplace and where he moved to.

Now on Bob Hope, here is a link with his picture at the firehouse in Cleveland, OH in 1909.

Thanks for correcting me.
With other things shrinking with age, how come my legs grew so long that I can't reach my shoes to tie them anymore, or did my arms shrink?

Car and truck seats are really shrinking. Jump into a 70s car or truck sometime and you will see the difference.

Man I'm glad you said that. I have been looking at a Chevy Equinox but the front seat is so tight. My loving wife pointed out that she fit implying it was my butt that was at fault. I just showed her you comments and said see everyone is saying they are making the seats smaller.

Not always true. I've found that the seats in my '77 MGB have also shrunk - not to mention that nowadays getting in and out seems to involve loud grunting and groaning.

Neither the seats nor the belts in my '93 F250 have shrunk at all. The seat on the drivers side has sunk a bit but other than that they are almost the same as new. (Ignore the torn fabric)
