Before you get a new camera, just be careful not to move your camera when you are taking the picture, have at least one arm resting against your side. Just a friendly advice, it will save you some money. The other pictures are great, so I do not see why it would be the camera's fault. Great works by the way.

Thanks for the tip Camerio. It's probably operator error, as you suggest.
Still like to have an SLR, though.

Some digital cameras have a 'delayed' shutter caused by the auto-focus being operative between operator shutter depression and actual shutter operation.
Needless to say that can cause unintended movement just prior to actual exposure.
If the camera has a half step shutter(half depression actuates auto focus) and full depression actuates exposure.
Just like pulling a firearm trigger - squeeze slowly - don't jerk and hold er steady!

Ya, me too, but the slr cameras have their own set of problems, so do a lot of reading before you go and buy one of those. Lenses tends to be quite expansive with stabilisers ... so I choose to stay with my 10 meg camera, it is good enough for souvenirs and so. And JPG is right for the two stages thing, so we have to be careful not to move or else take another picture, if the first one is not good.
