Very - Very nice finish on the piano, jimsjinx! I can understand why it wore you out. JUST BEAUTIFUL!!:)

Cause I'm an old geezer, and the veneer repairs and casting missing mouldings and appliques. I work like this is the last one on earth, my wife tells me! I take it seriously, and ALWAYS worry what the clients reaction will be. I have done even nicer jobs on stuff, and the client starts this "what about this" game, trying to chisel me down. Even had a lawyer once, who loved an armoise I refinished for him as we unloaded it from a hired moving company. Got it upstairs flawlessly, and low and behold, it didn't fit on the wall where he wanted it, so he refused to pay me!!!!! Went to court, and LOST!!!!!!!!!!!! The money is such a bummer. I'd like to do it and not get money involved, but alas, we gotta make money! Thank you for the kind words. It helps my lack of self confidence!!!Even at my ageLOL!!! jim

I have been up since 7AM waiting for this woman to come and either pay me, and pick it up later, or pick it up and pay me. I called her 3 times and her phone is going directly to voicemail. Last night, she said she LOVED the pictures I sent via E-Mail, and would do one or the other today. How do you work up the nerve to tie a rope around this thing and drag it to her door behind my van? I'd LOVE to do it and tell her to keep the money. jimsjinx

Tell her you're putting a mechanic's lien on the item and that unless she pays what's due by a certain date, you'll sell it for what's owed plus other expenses. Tell here you'll give her the difference if it sells for more than that.

I made this little bandsawn box that I got the idea from youtube. I'm going to line the inside with felt (which I'm going to buy in a little while) and that's why the inside and back of the little drawers looks so rough still. I still have to touch up the finish a bit, but I brought it inside to see how it looked on the tv stand.
There's 4 little compartments but two are hidden on the back of the little drawers.

Well, after about an hour of going back and forth, I got a check from the "Piano Lady". I feel confident it's good. The woman brought hubby, and everything went fine untill I insisted on cash. "Why's that?" asked hubby. I proceeded to tell him the flakey picture they had painted. "I'll be over tomorrow." Never came. never called. Wouldn't return MY calls. Wouldn't even ANSWER the phone. Flaked out on the proffessional piano movers. Wanted ME to do it on my motorcycle trailer! No way! I could just imagine explaining that to the insurance adjuster! All in all, we're all huggy kissy now, but you can bet your bottom I'm gonna be waiting for thier bank to open Monday morning! And to beat it all.... the guy still does'nt get it. Don't give them the piano until your check clears. If they didn't already have the idea you may have given it to them to stiff you.

It's such a beautiful piano, I hope they appreciate it.
