davem1066 I just picked up a 90's era SS Air Compressor off of Craigslist. It came with a small thick plastic coupler but unfortunately was cracked. I used the standard SPT coupler and it melted after 2 minutes of using it. What can I do to get a beefy coupler for this air compressor that will not melt as this thing gets hot! Thanks, Dave
dusty While you are talking to customer service, ask if it is normal for the compressor to get that hot.
davem1066 Apparently it is normal to get that hot based on user feedback and reading the manual. The SPT coupler is half as thick plastic as the original coupler and the original is 1/3 the length.
