Links good Ed. (IE8.0). Site is trying to install a .dll file so maybe other browers don't like that???

Anyway, here's a copy / paste of the info.

Here are color matchs for the Shopsmith 10ER:

1 - The tint base is Rust-oleum Masstone Gloss
The Home Depot color label is:
Colorant 0Z 48 96
D Thalo Green 0 20 1
E Thalo Blue 1 29 0
F Red Oxide 0 19 0
KX White 0 27 0

This color is very close, a little more on the gray side.
Increasing the White to 0 29 0 will make the color slightly less gray
The paint can be applied with a foam brush or with a spray gun.
2 - Sherwin Williams. This is a oil based enamel 1 quart. They called it "Dark Grayish Blue".Here are the numbers:Bac Colorant OZ 32 64 128W1-WHITE - 15 - 1B1-BLACK - 57 1 1G2-NEW GREEN - 2 - -Y3-DEEP GOLD - 4 1 - It looks like a real good match for an area which was not exposed to the elements..

Tried with Firefox & IE7.

I'm getting "The requested document is not accessible" as well, even after I log in to Yahoo, and even browsing for it on the group site and clicking the link there.

But, I think I recall someone posting that those paint codes didn't work. Either the base paint colors don't exist (anymore?), or the recipe isn't in the format of that vendor or something like that. I'll see if I can track down that message.

On my ER jigsaw, I don't think the two halves had ever been separated so that area had not been painted over and the original OEM paint was still in great condition. I left it in case I ever wanted to go back and color match it. It could still be called gray, but it definitely had more of a bluish tone to it than straight gray.

I like the Grey. I get Document Not Found too.

........but you hit it on the head with cream. What might be nifty is to paint the castings burgundy and then go over the edges with the cream. You could draw your inspiration from some steam engines (rail & stationary) that have been restored.

And then there is the world of cream pinstriping on the casting edges. That might be real sharp. Would take some time, though.

Wow, I think that's a good idea! I like the idea of a steam engine look!

Can you find an example? I searched unsuccessfully.
