Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
Ignore the fact that they were made for the Mark VII. They are a flat/conical 10" sanding disk. That means the ability to be used through the table slot. Also the required tilt to use the conical side is a smaller degree of table tilt.
I am revealing this since I now have all I will ever need.

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
Thanks. I did know about that from Scott Markwood's video on My Growth Rings about conical sanders. There are non-Shopsmith brands that can probably be mounted on a universal arbor. They vary in the angle and height of the sanding area. Recently purchased a current version Shopsmith conical sander though haven't had need for it yet I see it getting used soon since I avoid joiners when possible.JPG wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 7:47 pm Ignore the fact that they were made for the Mark VII. One for sale outside of Portland Oregon in Sandy OR. Pictures were just added to this craigslist ad and it now shows a Mark V 500 with Bandsaw for $200.
https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/tls ... 10235.html
If I didn't have so many Shopsmith restoration projects waiting already I would get it myself.
