Vintage Mark VII 10” Combination Flat/Conical Sanding Disc

For anyone who might be interested in a Magna American classic, here’s a copy of the 10” flat and conical sanding disc that was standard with the Mark VII:

Ignore the fact that they were made for the Mark VII. They are a flat/conical 10" sanding disk. That means the ability to be used through the table slot. Also the required tilt to use the conical side is a smaller degree of table tilt.

I am revealing this since I now have all I will ever need. ;)

Thanks. I did know about that from Scott Markwood's video on My Growth Rings about conical sanders. There are non-Shopsmith brands that can probably be mounted on a universal arbor. They vary in the angle and height of the sanding area. Recently purchased a current version Shopsmith conical sander though haven't had need for it yet I see it getting used soon since I avoid joiners when possible.

One for sale outside of Portland Oregon in Sandy OR. Pictures were just added to this craigslist ad and it now shows a Mark V 500 with Bandsaw for $200.
