I am butting in because I find this interesting. I am not a slow reader but I still don’t read instructions unless trouble comes along. I need to find out where I got wrong that’s why I’ve got to touch the instructions manual. After reading, I find my hand slapping my forehead and telling myself “I told you to read the instructions first!”. That’s one thing I doubt I can change.

Methinks if all those chicken little 'safety' warnings were eliminated and the resulting 'instructions' were reduced to a fraction of their original(with chicken little rants) size, we would all be more likely to read them from the git go right out of the box.(end jpg rant):D

...just as soon as you finished reading all the warnings on the OUTside of the box cautioning you that there are no more warnings included in the instructions...

but ya know, who cares anyway? What instructions. What warnings. I just flashed on a water pump I ordered a while back, to use outside. You know, outside, weather, water, electricity, like dat, and so i wanted to read any warnings or instructions. Opened the box labeled "Pump, Outside", there was the pump, and on it a Caution label, fine print {whaddaya mean "fine" print? Thjis aint "fine", it's rotten-- so dang tiny I have to get a magnifier, "fine" my okole) saying "For indoor use only".
Called the company, they said "oh, that's okay, they all say that".

I guess I’m not alone in regards with reading instructions first.
