IMHO keakap is dead-on with his opinions/suggestions. This concern has been quite surprising to me. Especially when I remember the extremely protective and outraged comments by some of the folks here when a Shopsmith hater said he would never have one because when he leaned on the table it tilted.
Remember that?

I think that was hangin me up because, at least after upgrading to 510, I skipped the benign rips and stuff and went directly to Abuse, wherein all manner of experiments are tried and failed (locks not holding etc.) and only then instructions read. So I had problems from the get-go.
Thinking back on it I'm amazed the machine survived my "Drill Press" period.
