Really wet here by me in IL

Thankfully last year's drought was so severe the lakes had plenty of capacity. Most of our back roads have slabs instead of bridges and were impassible until Fri afternoon. A few washouts but nothing too terrible. The lake was as muddy as I've ever seen it and full of debris, but the fishing was outstanding. Limited out on crappie in about 2 hours.
April showers have turned white again.
Almost all snow cover in the yard was gone this afternoon, first time in months. Then replacements came...falling from the sky...more white stuff

It's getting painful Sam. Around 3" right now and it is heavy. My DirectTV dish has been out all night and it is on the shielded south side of our the house, the opposite side from the wind. It's April 22nd and this is the second time in a week we've had inches of snow.saminmn wrote:April showers have turned white again.

Dang! Now I am getting a better understanding of why a big customer of mine in MN has a hard time recruiting and retaining engineers! I'm told (and this was independently corroborated by a MN university professor) that unless their grandparents are MN natives, you can't retain an engineer for more than about two winters. Here in Central Ohio, hardly the garden spot of the universe, it was sunny and pushin' 70 today.saminmn wrote:April showers have turned white again.
