All that talk of Cordobas got me hot and bothered. The front end caught my eye on Ed's bee box pictures.

I was trying to simplify things by tilting the drill (and maxmizing useable space) instead of cutting more pieces. And adding another box of fasteners ;-)

It looks like I have another modification to inform you about.

I spotted some spider droppings and those things are the worst to get cleaned off. I have a jig saw table that has spots despite my best efforts to remove them, the spots are the result of my attempts to get the spider droppings off, spider dropping off but cleaning left spots....

Got a 3/16" x 4' x 4' sheet of this material

This was my first project with it so it is a learning experience. Like other products like this it is stable and flat and cheap so that sound like a good thing to make some lids/tops for the storage boxes. I cut the 6 parts out, you can see 5 of them here.

Keeping in mind this is still a simple build I went with 1/4" dowels cut to 3/4" long and drilled and put the dowels in. I left some wiggle room so they are easy to take on or put back on. I did one to make sure my setup was right and then did the other 5.

Looks like is going to work good. I have two tops to build yet, just cutting and putting the dowels in so I should be finished in another 10 minutes or so.
