Fred Grover wrote:So does this mean that that Arbor from Shopsmith will allow me to use other brand saw blades and not just the Shopsmith Brand? If not what arbor would I want and where can I get one? Thanks for any information my friends.
Yes to the first ?.
That makes the second ? moot.

Thank you as I bought my Shopsmith Mark V used with a bunch of Arbors and Lathe Duplicator that was never used or opened and I have that Arbor so that makes me happy. I had heard that you could only use the Shopsmith Blades with the machine and then heard that was not true so you just verified that for me. Have a great day.

A half truth. Most SS blades have a 1 1/4" arbor hole, but not all. Also SS does make a 5/8" arbor as you have already 'discovered'!

Thank you, but I have been looking for my keys for over three hours. I am running out of places to 'look'!

I hope you find them and your day gets better. I have done that before and then realized the keys were in my coat pocket lol.

My worst "key loss" was when I had gone to a forest preserve and walked around for about 3 hours. When I got back to the car I reached in my pocket and no keys. Started looking in all my other pockets, nothing in any of them that looked like car keys.
No idea how far I had walked that day but even then the though of back tracking would have been fruitless as I later learned. BTW this was winter with a couple of inches of snow on the ground.
The good news was our house was only about 3 miles away so I added to my hiking and headed to get a spare key. Yea another 3 miles back as at the time I could find anyone to drive me back and I'm too cheap to call a taxi.
When I got home and pulled my boots off I heard this familiar sound of keys, a hole in my pants pocket had let them fall between the pants and long underwear and lay at the top of my tucked in pants and the boot top.
Worse yet I then remembered I had a magnetic key holder hidden away with a spare key!!!
That's my best story about keys...............

It could be worse. Did you hear the one about the blonde who couldn't get into her car because her clicker battery had died?
And look how much free exercise you got!
I am currently teaching my son that felling deadwood and hand-splitting it into firewood is great exercise, and even makes something useful. My womenfolk seem to think that exercise can only be obtained by paying for a gym membership, and then spending more money driving round-trip to the gym. With no useful byproduct resulting.
