I dont think so. Funny I would not removed screws from some thing unless it held something on that was in the way of cleaning, and on my parts table there is just the power head access covers and the 2 screws that hold on the cover with the sereial # on. Besides the 2 in question.

Does this mean we need to consider areas other than the two mentioned?:rolleyes:

Headstock: Motor pan - 5 screws; Belt cover = 3 screws(maybe 2); Speed control - 3 screws.

I am assuming a "B" headstock. I am not clear on when the third(top) belt cover screw was eliminated.



Didja work on anything else(not SS related)?:confused:;)

The early Greenie belt housing had 5 screw holes. One on top and two more for the motor pan which I never used. I stayed with only using the normal belt housing two screws locations that later models had. This was the "A" headstock but not sure if they all had 5 screw belt housings.

Thanks guys, you both are so good!!!!!!!!! They were the 2 that go on each side of the belt cover, which I took off on Saturday. Damn Dr changed one of my meds and I swear I am in a bit of a fog since, I questioned my self the other day if 2/8s=1/4" and I am a math guru.
Now the new delema, after cleaning up the jointer, redoing the cutter head, nice tip some where here this am I read about using dry graphite on the infeed table gibs!! Runs fine, but the infeed table and out feed table are not parralel. If you put a straight edge on the out feed table, the infeed table from the cutter head end to the right side end of the infeed table trops off about 3/32". They should be parralel, minus your depth of cut, but still parralel. Gibs are all touching/mating, so only thing I can think of that is a pivot point is the depth adjustment yoke. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob

On another note and not related to my ongoing thread, I have been on allot of other forums of different topics/hobbies, they all have a sub forum for buying and selling items of those forums subjects/interest, why not here??? Especially since so many things are interchangable and old and newer seems to fit on the same machines.

Pix might help. Off hand, no.

1) Is the cutter end even with the outfeed table at both sides?

2) Are you saying one side is off at the infeed end?

If both are true, I be really confused! I do not think CI twists.

If you put a straight edge on the length of the outfeed table, and raise the left end of the infeed table to the same hieght, the infeed table tappers down, from left to right about 3/32nds of an inch. They should both be flat with each other.

Lets define left, right, infeed end, and cutter end of the infeed table.

Two are obvious(ends).

Left is the outboard side(away from the headstock).

Right is the side towards the headstock.

Now when the left side is even with the outfeed table, where are the other three corners?
