Take a look at the pictures of the blade again in post 199444 and 199445. It looks like the stabilizer was on the side away from the headstock which would bring the blade closer to the guard with the 1 1/4" arbor. You can see it was once on the proper side by the blemishes on the blade. The Forest stabilizer I have is .10 inches thick and about 1/2" depth of cut is lost.
