Well, I use Firefox also but I don't notice it on other sites. Maybe Admin can enlighten us on how the spell checker works or where it comes from.JPG wrote:It does have a limited vocabulary. But, again when typing a reply on the forum "post a reply" page the spell checking is less than stellar. Something is different here than other places or so it seems to me.JPG wrote:The "Forum" has a spell checker?
However 'it' may be firefox.

Sorry Bob but I've always thought I was the worst speller in the world, now I have to wonder.

Spell checking is turned on in FF. I am not talking about typing 'there' when you mean 'their'.reible wrote:With spell check back on:reible wrote:spelll checkkkking is foo in fireyou and nothingig being found asspelling errors...... I'''d have to bay thait is a functtion of fiefox.........

It just seems like there are many common words that if I am off by one letter the correct word is not in the list of suggestions when right clicking on the misspelled word. No, I don't have an example at this time. Yes, I know it is a function of the dictionary. It is just that I don't see it on other sites. It is probably just my perception for what ever reason.
I have always been a good speller. My problem is that I can't type and my mind is faster than my fingers so I get letters in reverse position.

I take no offense, I know life is tough, I wear a helmet.
I know I am a terrible speller, the Nuns drilled Math into us, and they had a spelling/reading thing back then called Phonics/Phonix, you sounded out a word and spelled it the way in sounded, then learned its proper spelling. I failed the second part!!
Ya JB I have the same problem too, the mind is faster then the fingers and on my Lap top that I use pretty much exclusively now I cant adjust the key board for sensitivity and some times I just dont hit a key hard enough. No excuses though, a little better proof reading b4 the send/post click would solve some of it.

My wife uses a laptop, she has a wireless keyboard and mouse for it
, gives a full size keyboard and avoids the use of the track pad.

I use a Roller Ball Mouse, but if I would hook up a regular Key Board the screen would be too far away for my glasses/lens correction.rpd wrote:My wife uses a laptop, she has a wireless keyboard and mouse for it, gives a full size keyboard and avoids the use of the track pad.

So you can't see 18-24" away? I use a wireless keyboard and mouse with my lap top. The lap top is what I use all the time. The key board is a Logitech K750 wireless solar powered key board. It is outstanding. It is a full sized keyboard but no extra BS. Much like the Apple keyboardsERLover wrote:I use a Roller Ball Mouse, but if I would hook up a regular Key Board the screen would be too far away for my glasses/lens correction.rpd wrote:My wife uses a laptop, she has a wireless keyboard and mouse for it, gives a full size keyboard and avoids the use of the track pad.

I don't know what it is made of but it is thin and weighs over a pound. It is very heavy and feels more solid than any key board that I have ever owned. I have had it for about 8 months and it has never been below 100% charged.
It has an on/off switch but it charges either on or off. There is also a monitor program to monitor the status of the battery. At 100% charge it says you can use the key board for 3 months in total darkness.
I love it!!
