13 minutes to me is unacceptable unless it was lunch time/break for the internal staff, which if it was the case, she should have said that, got his # and said, we will call you back or call back in what ever time frame.JPG wrote:13 minutes? First they wanted me to measure diagonally and then let the table "rest" with the bolts not tightened. Called them and told them it wasn't working and they said they'd get back to me after talking to the "engineer". About what I have no clue. Supposed to call me and let me know what to do and nothing has happened in the form of a call. Just spent 13 minutes on hold listening to the awful music and now I'm frustrated. I won't be buying anything from them again.

Who have thee been calling recently?
Seems to me that a long wait is all too common nowadays.
And they do have other folks to accommodate!

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

Let's see. Three(maybe two) interfacing with customers. More calls arrive. They are placed into a queue. They are answered in the order they came in(First in first answered). Most conversations(many at least) last longer than 13 min. Now quite likely that queue never fully empties.
Ain't no way to 'get # and call back'.
Besides I doubt that response will be received well either by impatient folks anyway.

JPG, I luv ya like a Bro, I will never dispute your SS knowledge, still a bit confused on you lingo, BUT When was the last time you called Ohio? I have on a few occasions over the past year. They have no queue, if on an another call you are on hold for a bit politly, then she gets to you, if she cant answer you question, billing/ordering, if technical she transfers the call to someone that can, it aint, "stay on the line and your call will be answered in the order it came in, and your hold wait is XXX amount of minutes"JPG wrote:ERLover wrote:13 minutes to me is unacceptable unless it was lunch time/break for the internal staff, which if it was the case, she should have said that, got his # and said, we will call you back or call back in what ever time frame.JPG wrote:

If it happens to be lunch time and the techs are out to lunch she has told me that, and either call back, or got my # and they called me after lunch.
They are Eastern time,I am on Midwest so that is why at times I have had that conflict when I have called, my morning time and they are a hour earlier.

When you are 'on hold' you are 'in the queue'.
You are on Central Daylight Time. They are on Eastern Daylight Time. They are an hour LATER than thee.
I doubt they have a machine that does the "wait time announcement" but likely the all busy folks busy message is machine generated.
No I have not called this year so I might be 'slightly damp'.

Re: New bandsaw table not level
I guess my frustration is being promised a call back a couple of times and in ever getting the call.

Re: New bandsaw table not level
I would be frustrated too but I would most likely not bring that frustration here to the forum. I would be on the phone to CS and they better not put me on hold. I would also being calling early in the day.putttn wrote:I guess my frustration is being promised a call back a couple of times and in never getting the call.
If incoming calls go immediately to an answering machine that puts me on hold (in the queue) I will wait it out and then unload my frustration where it belongs (remembering that the person I am talking to is just working there for a wage). If that seems inadequate, I request to be connected to management.
In many call centers, calls are taken ONLY up to thirty minutes before closing; in some it is as much as 1 hour.

Re: New bandsaw table not level
I called early in the day and I manage a call center for auto insurance. I know how they should be operated. I'm not going into their methods of operation. 13 minutes waiting is a long time. Especially when they say they will call and haven't lived up to that commitment yet.

I've come to the conclusion that rhey must be sending me a new table and don't really need to talk with me about it.

Re: New bandsaw table not level
I'm hoping by this time next week I'll have a nice new flat table because they still haven't called me back
