Really impressive. How did you turn the rim?

Everett, I shaped the rim with a dremel after I finished turning it. If you look closely at the first picture you will notice the rim is not quite even, the segments between the "petals" are slightly shorter and I would have had to flatten the tops of the petals to make the rim flat, which I didn't want to do. So I came up with the idea to grind a slight curve between the petals with my dremel.

And you can still drink out of them without dribbling (I tried). Not that it matters anyway since they're decorative.
