Lately I did bandsaw maintenance. I replaced a couple of noisy bearings, aligned everything, greased the upper wheel bearing, put on a new 1/2" blade, got all the dust out.

First resaw on a thick slab was dead true, hurray!

Then I went back into the machine to double check something. This re-check was then when I inadvertently left a Ceramic Guide Block set too far forward when I restarted it. That ceramic guide "stoned down" the set on the left side of my blade, in a jiffy. Now that not-quite-new blade has a pronounced "drift" due to the asymmetric teeth. "No good deed shall go unpunished" .

Yes, I have to say the ceramic blade guides are very helpful. It really gave stability and considerably improved my resawing capacity.
