Perhaps it just doesn't send emails for PM's sent to ones self.

That could be. I am using the Shopsmith1 board. button either. It is set to No. There is an email notification under Edit Notification Options that is checked.
The last PM I got was on 18 Oct and I did get an email. I just sent a PM to myself and it came through and showed on the forum home page but no email. That kind of makes sense I guess.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but a while back I set my Forum type to "silver" as per Dusty's suggestion in another post. I can't remember how I did it, but the formatting looked better.
