They look real nice, I wanted the quartz tops for our counter but the better half wouldn't go for it.

She wanted granite .

LOL

She won!!

Thanks for this thread and all the posts of projects. This is wonderful to see the collective talents of all the forum members. I simply admire all the great work, tables to boats, and I admire the expertise posted. I have ideas, but maybe not enough time. So, thank you for your craftsmanship and your projects.

Did you post a build thread on these? I'm enamored with those stone tops and would very much like to see how you built them.

none if us are getting any younger !!

The art of wood working as a hobby is beginning to disappear , if the new generation cant buy it they are lost , the art of imagination and creativity,,, is a very important skill ,,,,,,,to important to allow it to fade away ,,,,, it shows on these last few pages.

I just found this thread and enjoyed having a look. There are some very nice pieces of work here. It was time well spent.

These two are pieces I made in high school back in the 60's

The side table was from grade 9, every one made the same basic table but we got to choose what wood and some of the details.

It lived at my parents house in the rec room till last year, but Mom is downsizing so I got it back.

And the chair I made in grades 11 and 12, I got bored and made other things too. This one I had to design, draw the plans, and build.

When my daughter was young it was the chair she used and now it is the chair my adopted granddaughter uses when she comes over. It has seen lots of use over the years and has be reupholstered twice.
