The correct bushings are available on e bay from hogwinslow1960. They are listed as "Shopsmith 10E 10ER Speed Changer Oilite Bearings" and come protected in a plastic case with lubrication impregnated paper protection so they don't dry out. That sounds bad but you get the right idea. I actually have a couple extras in case Tom runs out and I cannot get them any longer. They should store well for a long time.

Yes they are available but not off the shelf. Tom turns them to size from an off the shelf bushing. So does Skip. I bought two sets from Tom a few years ago when Skip was out of stock. When Skip turned some more I bought two sets from him.

When I pass somebody is going to have a field day in my shop. I have 3 10ER's, two up and running, one as a lathe and one as a drill press, and they both have the speed changer. I have a 3rd speed changer to be used on the 3rd 10ER, which is rebuilt but not put back together yet. I also have a 520 with 2 band saws, and a 500, which is currently being used as a router station. Also a 12 inch plainer, stand along jig saw, and hundreds of add ons.
