Yea there is no pulleys with it and i couldnt really understand if the pulley on the jointer is there (it sounded like it was) but if not for $50 it wouldnt be a deal breaker im getting ready to get on the road to go get it 1.5 hours one way but it will be worth the trip

I am late to the party but in time to say that you got a good deal ($50.00) for a working jointer. But wait, have you checked the fence to make sure it is flat. Have you checked the input and output table surfaces to make sure they are flat and the infeed table is adjustable.

After determining that the tables are flat, I would suggest that the fence then be checked by laying it across the jointer tables and check it to see if it rocks (caution while doing this - protect the cutter blades).

The bad thing about jointers is that their tables are milled as a pair. Replacing either without replacing the other is a crap shot.

well i picked it up today and it IS missing the pulley that goes on the jointer also, so i need to figure out what i need for that. Ill try and post some pics tomorrow of it, as far as the shopsmith its in pretty good shape, the tubes need a little scotch bright and paste wax and they would be good to go. im pretty sure i will be parting out the shopsmith as i have another iron in the fire with another great deal on a 10er with supposedly every piece you could have for the 10er.

I measured my jointer pulley yesterday. It’s 1.73” OD, 1/2” bore.

6245K12 at McMaster, $5.41.
