We purchased a new house this summer and one of the selling points for me was the 25'X30' shop just outside the back door. It was awesome rolling the Shopsmith out of the old garage and into its new home.

I don't know how many square feet that equals and I'm too lazy to look it up right now. When working, if weather permits, I wheel everything out into the driveway. LOML is very kind not to complain too loudly about the sawdust all over her truck. I hope to rearrange, build some decent cabinets and a workbench this summer. But we're leasing the house, so I can't do anything permanent.
Gee! I never thought of using a truck as a Dust Collector. A lot is said since she drives a truck. You must have snagged one of the intelligent ones!
My 'workshop' was supposed to be 1/3 of a 1000+ addition 30+ years ago. Somehow a mother-in-law bedroom was incorporated into that 1/3. It ended up being the 'master' bedroom instead. The 'shop' is currently storing non shop related stuff(knock off 1/3 of the 1/3 of the 1/3). The rest is a jumble of usable and to be reusable ss 'stuff'. Just moving myself from one area to another requires limberness of body to circumnavigate various large items. Available floor space? What is that?

i put down 300 ft. but i just moved onto my property. it has been 2 years since we bought it. i built my shop first.
since we had to find financing for the house. i am a carpenter by trade . so i was able to pick up left over lumber thru the years. i built my self a 16x16 shop with a gambrel roof that gave me a second story. then i went and built a 10 x 16 addition on the left side as a clean room for finishing. only been in my new home for 2 months so i'm finaly getting shop organized inside. have 3 mark v's in main room . have put the dc3300 in a room of it's on along with the air compressor. the upstairs room is used by my wife as storage for now. but it will be her crafts room . since it difficult for me to climb stairs. this pic show the pole i had to up so power company could hook up power . wouldn't let me attach to the shop. i believe i have 760 sq. feet of usable space . next will be putting in heat and air. still have some siding to do. happy new years freinds_____ jim
