You guys are too fixated on this!

Go back into the shop and start working some wood.
Paul
PS: I have this sled for more than a year now. I like it.

They look like a great idea. The replaceable components for the slot are nice.

Whoopeeeeeeee!!!!

Mine arrived this afternoon!

:D
I won't bother posting pictures since Ed (not in Tampa) has done such a good job of that in earlier posts.
However, I will add that I had it out of the box and making my first cuts with it in less than 30 minutes. It was packed well, had no damage and was very easy to assemble and align. With two miter bars sideways slop is nearly eliminated. The crosscuts I made to test it were some of the best I've ever obtained on the Shopsmith. Haven't tried the miter cuts yet but will tomorrow.
If you are waiting for yours to arrive - be patient - the wait will certainly be worth it.

I'm a very happy camper.

Got mine last night. Put it together and admired it. WOW, that is one nicely made piece. It's beautiful to look at, and everything fits together superbly and precisely.
I can see my bandsaw suddenly getting less use.

Sent an email to Rick Woodburn thanking him for making a SS version. He replied (in length) and informed me he has used a greenie that was his fathers and for a long time was the ONLY equipment he had. He only feels comfortable pre-installing the miter slot bars on the SS version(everyone else has to attach their own bars[locate, rout, counterbore for t-nuts...])! So WE are the CHOSEN few in this case!:D
He said he normally makes 30-40 annually,(I assume 'all' versions) and started the e-bay listing b4 completing them(hence the delay shipping). He was overwhelmed by the response and was VEEEEERY busy last week. It is just HIM and his sons(when he can get them to help) so we CAN understand the delay.
This is a part time venture for him and his product(s) are a labor of love(my opinion from his comments). He says he would rather make something for somebody else to use than somebody's kitchen cabinets!
Thought this might be of interest to Y'ALL.
