Hands On Grandfather Clock Plans
Has anyone else built the grandfather clock from the Hands On plans? I've built two from walnut. The first was an anniversary present for my parents and the second is in my livingroom. The Hands On plans can be found at http://www.shopsmithhandson.com/archives/sept_oct_00/index.htm
This is the best looking plans built clock I have been able to find. I hope more people try it.
I mostly build furniture for myself or family members. I'm currnetly doing an entertainment center for a wide screen flat panel tv and stereo equipment. I'll do a post on it later.

This past summer I bought a Shopsmith with a bandsaw for 40.00 at a sale. Since then I rebuilt the head and put it to work making toys for the grandkids. I have some furniture to build and then I am moving to our other home. After the move I will be building a new workshop by using the lumber sawed off this land. I plan on having a hard maple floor that will be 1 1/2 inches thick with in floor heat. I will saw all the lumber using my saw mill and when the shop is done the shopsmith will go to work making cabinets and what ever else I need to finish it off.

My shop projects
I mostly make harps in my shop. I play harp and teach so my harps go to students, sale and rent. I've done some other small instruments and am getting set up to try making a few Native American Style Flutes. Although I haven't used the shopsmith for anything but a drill press for years (and a place to stack things on)...I'm going to see if I can get it going to use it as a lathe. I took a turning class at Woodcraft last weekend....what fun! Melanie

I'll attach a photo of my most recent harp if I can figure out how to do it. It's number 40. (I've been making harps for about 6 years.)
