Making the feet

I have decided to wait to install the feet after installation. Unleveled floors can be a real pain.

Here I have cut and sanded all parts on the Shopsmith equipment.

This new little stretched mini is fast becoming my favorite piece of equipment in the whole shop.

Here is one of the upper units being trimmed. Notice the plinth blocks on the bottom and trim around the top of the flutes. Here as on the bottom cabinets I used a solid block behind. Notice the small sample of RB3 Flex molding in the second picture. Those pieces have been ordered.

Always keep the Mark 5 set up with the sanding disc when running moldings.

IF you have time, take a closeup pix of the "caution" label to the left of the power switch. Some folks on a different thread are in need of a good image of the lettering on this vintage SS.

I will do that Monday although it is a little faded. This unit turned out to have been built in 85.

Making the top

The top is made from 3 seperate pieces of plywood bicsuted together and wraped with a molding. I had to also step it out around the fluted pieces.

I don't thank I am going to like this 4 inch deep shelf in the archways. It is not large enough to put any thing really decorative.
