After the door is in you test the threshold seal with a sheet of paper, the instructions say it should just barely move before tearing. If the sheet slides without real resistance it is wrong. "tight" is the word and that slight out of level was enough to mess up the works
Whew, that's tight awright.
I like doors. Put in a new door on a coat closet once, did all the trimming by hand plane. Had oodles of time so had some fun with it. Got it so good it was impossible to slam the door shut.
Kinda shows you dramatically how much air leakage there is with a slight error.

Onct in a while.
Funny, I'd never thought about why the sloping floor in the garage, until I saw a real estate agent grab a garden hose from outside and bring it in to clean the garage floor.
And no, turns out that is not the best method for cleaning sawdust...

Fine. It was one of the standard cheapo hollow core things, so that may have helped. Also, we lived on the edge of San Pablo Bay, so humidity was not subject to wide swings.
I think (along that line) that if it were a heavier door or on, for instance, a bathroom, I would have had to trim it a tad looser.
Little things...
I'll never forget that door. Soon after installing it we had a "house for sale", we're outta here, farewell type party, after all the fix up was done. I can still picture the guys sneaking back over to that door when noone was lookin, to try again to slam it.
Who needs TV?

Doesn't take much to entertain some folks! Main stream TV demonstrates that continuously!
