The neat thing about this forum is that folks will ALWAYS try to find a way to get a ShopSmith to do a job and MOST of the time, it can. Since I've actually cut through my driveway with a hand held circular saw / masonry cutting diamond saw blade, I'd BET that at some point in history, some ShopSmith owner somewhere on this planet with a similar project thought.....hummmmmm, if I flip this thing over on a dolly and....

assuming your driveway is thin, I think you need to use one of the flexible shaft adapters to run a masonry saw.

if your driveway is like some of them at work (11 feet thick), you may need to build a SS-powered jack hammer.
