have you ever gotten an email like that from placing an order by phone?
Ivan
I'm sorry but I just can not answer that with certainty. I sorta think NOT. I very seldom place an order via phone and I just can not say for certain. The next time I do, I'll try to remember to keep watch for it.

Let me update the group on what I found and possibly answer some questions on my posts.
Thanks for the update. ShopSmith would definitely benefit from an systems upgrade. Feels like their systems are about 10 years old. Definitely time to upgrade.
There have been some reports that hold times on the phones can be longer than wanted. However, I do still think that the best way to resolve issues with ShopSmith is via the phone. You might have the best luck calling first thing in the AM.
I share your desire to be able to maintenance the ShopSmith - and do some expansion in the future. The nice thing is that much of the ShopSmith can be serviced with reasonably standard parts. And owners have come up with some ways to work around some proprietary parts. Now all we need is a ShopSmith aficionado who is also an expert CNC machinist.... to get custom replacement parts as required.
Jim 510 upgraded to 520, bandsaw, Homecraft jointer, universal lathe rest, Craftsman tablesaw w/Delta fence, standalone belt/disc sander, power miter saw, a bunch of smaller stuff

I was not going by catalog numbers, I was going by the Parts list that came with the hood that was inside the box. I see by the list you can order parts separately but in this case, I am only following what they said should have been in the box.

I was just trying to understand what might have gone wrong. You never declared what part number(s) you had ordered (if you did, I missed it) so I don't know know.
When this chart caught my eye, I just thought it might be of interest. By knowing what you paid for the dust bag it should be come very clear what you actually paid for.
I just hope this all works out fine for you in the end.

chettrick, if your wife wants to order something for you and surprize you with it she could always have it sent to my address. Your profile doesn't show where you are located, but I would be happy to help her out................
Let me know if I can assist..............................Bob
I keep finding little windows on this forum, that I don't really know what they do. So sometimes I experiment. Probably shouldn't do that, I know in my shop it can get me into trouble.

Thanks for the offer, I would love to fly to Calif from Florida to pick up a part. Think you could check it out and break it in for me to make sure it works before i get there?
