Potpouri starying Dec 21, 2009

christmas day is always hectic my 2 daughters and 7 grandbabies here . to much to eat. this years was special thought. in the past 6 weeks i have built maybe 30 norm marshalls construction toys 18 wheelers and trailers,bulldozers,road graders, cranes,steam rollers, model t trucks . were my 5 grandsons happy wow. better than any store bought presents. the one granddaughter that was here got a doll house i built ( furniture bought separately) i built 2 pull-along toys ( by norm marshall) they were animals . kids had a blast. my christmas was yesterday. while browsing through craighslist looking for a ss stripsander. sorta got side tracked got looking at mark v's hehe it was fun for a while. only found a dc 3300 in mobile a bandsaw somewhere around atlanta. found several mark v's but wanted way to much. for just the headstock. till i hit on one in panama city fla. a machinist had one . he used as a lathe mainly. he had a dream shop all grizzly equipment. and needless to say the mark v was just sitting in a corner looking out of place and lonely had to drag her home hehe. 30 year old but well care for internaly. need a new paint job . so will be easy to restore . gettin a lil long winded happy new years folks hag1 ____ jim
