BTW The disk IS from a Model 10!

It's together. Not aligned/adjusted just together. No manual so I assembled it from photos.

Looks like I can put these tables together in a bunch of different ways.

I have a working 500 that I bought new about 1982 and a few other tools as well so it's not like I need it now. I can wait for a bargain.

It seems all of my Shopsmiths have been the result of being in the right place at the right time.
I started by trading a Jaguar flywheel for an old greenie to give to my father in law as a retirement gift. He was driving his wife crazy looking for things to do. He had so much fun with it that I picked up a $200 500 for myself. A couple years later, a friend told me about a gent who bought a 510 and decided he wasn't a woodworker. I bought it for $750, with a jointer, power stand, bandsaw, and 6 inch sander. Being the fool that I am, I sold off the power stand, jointer, and bandsaw. And the Greenie.
Though far from a woodworker, I started to use the 510 for a home remodel and soon wished I had not sold the pieces. I kept watching the paper and Craigslist for another bandsaw. That's the one piece I really wish I had kept.
Next, I inherited my Father in Law's Greenie.
Two weeks ago, I found a listing in Eau Claire, 30 miles from me, for an $800 520. This one came with a bandsaw, a jointer, and a ton of add ons, some I needed the website to identify. This time I won't sell the stuff till I know I won't use it. I probably will sell the 510 though. My shop has to share space with two motorcycles, a camper, and all my mechanics stuff. I really don't have room for two machines.
Keep watching. They are out there if you are patient.

Due to illness, injuries, surgery, family and just life in general this project has been on the back burner for awhile. There were a few things missing that I know of and I'm trying to determine which of these I need. I'm going to need to buy them new since I haven't had any luck finding them used.

I have purchased a 555868 Lathe Tool Rest package. So I don't think I need any of the missing lathe items. Or do I?

My miter gauge bar has a place for the T-Slot washer.

I don't know what the vertical mounting tubes are. What are they? Do I need them?

Do I need to purchase the sanding disk hub? I have steel and aluminum sanding disks.

I have a 520 saw arbor.

I don't have the Instruction Manual. If this has a list of all the pieces and a parts break down it might be useful.

Alignment tools. It didn't come with these. Do I need them?

I reread all the posts in this thread and some of these questions have been answered already but their might be some new opinions or new readers who would like to comment.
