Fascinating indeed. The accuracy with which those craftsman can wield a hatchet is astonishing. I noticed they all had all of their fingers as well.

Was I the only one that notice the CLARITY of the film?
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

This one is for lathe turners. Shows the making of a wooden wagon wheel. His method of laying out the 12 mortises for the spokes on the hub of the wheel using a caliper and divider was slick.

Most 'farmers'(rural area occupants) have always 'worked from home'. 90 yrs ago that was the 'norm'.(more so in sveden)tomsalwasser wrote:I guess working from home is not a new idea. Thanks for sharing these videos.

'Going to work' elsewhere is a very recent development.
Caused no doubt by the 'Industrial Revolution'.
I did notice the blacksmith/farrier did indeed 'waddle to work'.
But then he 'lived in the city'!(notice the woman passing him going in the opposite direction? I thought that unusual.)
