I ordered new Bearing from O'Riliey's Auto Parts with take two days to them and they are 20.67 a piece. I am not sure what the part number is but will post it once I get the bearings in.

Noticed the motor is/was apart - got new bearings for that also? Might want to check the quill bearings, but do NOT replace unless obviously needed(they are better than typically available today).
Order tonight and you will probably have them before the weekend. Also if they offer a digital caliper at a ridiculous price(<$10) get one of those also(they are pretty darn good).

Qill baring are good. But I recall reading something about doubling up the bearings on a quill. Or am I mixing up the quill with something else?

No but imho the er quill is better than the MV 2 bearing quill.

The Mark V had a single bearing quill until 1984 (<190000). Shopsmith had different versions (at least 4) of the Mark V Poly-V double bearing quills. These quills had the second bearing in different locations and the latest went to larger bearings.
Shopsmith never made a double bearing quill for the Gilmer Drive Mark V machines. A few of us tinkers have added a second bearing to the Gilmer & Poly-V qulls. I am currently playing with adding a second bearing to the Gilmer & Poly-V quills at different depths from the the front bearing. I am believing that a spacer between the 2 bearings adds more accuracy and less runout than putting the 2 bearings together in the quill housing.
