Very nice! I'm curious on the proportions? Was it a custom fit item or just designed on the fly?

The Hall Secretary was custom designed to fit in the entry hall area. The proportions are such that it is not too deep to be in the traffic pattern of the entry. The top opening lid was designed with a false shelf to hide ugly electronic chargers and convenient enough to access the top portion where the phones and electronics are kept. The false shelf area in the top also conceals a power strip with the cord concealed in a oak channel running down the inside of the door area so it:s hidden from view and finally the door area was designed tall enough to accommodate my wife"s purse, umbrella, etc. Eventually I am going to make a seat the attaches to the left side of the piece that has a top opening that will house other items, umbrellas, gloves, scarfs, etc. This seat area will be matching oak with mission style features that match the secretary.

My only regret is that i didn't incorporate a shelf or place to store and recharge my laptop. But I may still do that in the top lid section or add a shelf in the door area. Shouldn't be that hard. Will post pictures when I get it completed.

do you have the plans for the loader or can you advise where I can get them

I assume you are referring to the "Skid-Steer Loader". The plans can be found in this catalog. Toys and Joys http://www.toysandjoys.com/ It looked like the most uncomplicated unit is their selection -- CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT Category. (Plan #75) That's why I got it!

Finally had a chance to complete the toy log houses that have been gathering dust. Had to do the "hard part" - the making of roof struts and roof slats. Made the slats exactly 1" wide - so the distance from the notch holding the lower slat had to be exactly an even number of inches to the peak of the truss. Coloring is food dye.
