Re: Using a Shop Smith Mark V on a Chris Craft Roamer refit
The tree falling where it did seems to me to be a divinely guided fell. Thank Him for that. However, that tree seemed to be really rotten. Seems that a property owner may be liable for damages.
Your modification to the angle grinder appears to have many useful applications. I am going to take mine to the store to see if I can fit mine and do my headlights.

Here in WI, I dont know if it is different in others, the property owner is NOT responsible for damage to some ones elses property for a fallen tree.swampgator wrote:The tree falling where it did seems to me to be a divinely guided fell. The Greatness officially starts
Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

They would be if they had constructive notice, meaning they knew or should have known that the tree was defective in some manner. If it was defective, rotten or in some other way not healthy.

It seems to me, that this boat is currently at a boatyard.
And, the boatyard owner is renting out spaces.
Therefore, if a tree (boatyard owners property)
falls on a boat, (or 4) and damages them, the
yard owner (or his insurance) is responsible for
damages. If I'm renting an apartment, and a
tree in that complex falls on my car, the apartment
complex is liable. Same thing here.
Luckily, NOTHING happened to Q's boat!

10 ER, stripped down.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.
Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

I doubt anything is in "Stone" , it would depend on how the rental/lease was/is written.
Good to see your are here/hear, I have been defending ERs on here/hear for a few days. I never got to the won/one/1 in Lacrosse, b4/before it was gone.

The land owner is not responsible for an act of God. I have been a catastrophe adjuster for over 30 years and have handled many. As I stated before the tree would have had to have had a defect and the owner would have had to have known or should have known for him to be liable.

'La Crosse' has to do with an indian game, not that other cross.
