Perhaps looking at the serial number tables would give you an order of magnitude up to the point they went with date codes.

Edit: I did a quick look and calculated 317,983 Mark Vs sold until 1987. After that, it is anyone's guess.

Apology accepted but I don't know for what. I know of no reason why you or anyone here on this forum has reason to apologize to me.
