Actually that is a picture I posted years ago NEW COMER
I don't post pictures often since I don't have a digital camera or camera phone. If I take a picture I must take the film to be developed.
A camera is for pictures and phones are for talking. And the twain should never meet.
Talk about being cheap!:o

Nothing like putting all yer eggs in one basket!
Ed you ought to try a 'cheap' digital camera. You might just get to like it. Processing cost approaches 0. And you only 'print' those that matter.
I am curious how you got a paper photo uploaded?:D

JPG,
I always have my trusty cloud hovering over me grabbing pictures and video from my phone as I take them.....
The other stuff...I can do without it.

Anything can fail. You computer can crash...someone can steal it, your printed pics can burn, be spilled upon, those memory cards degrade...any number of things can happen. If those things happen to me, my cloud has my back.

I think I prefer a backup which I control. That includes refreshing.

Yes film still exists!!!!
My developer Walgreens offer prints and/or DVD or Thumbdrive.
I take the prints and scan them on my scanner.
Had a digital camera in fact I had two of them. Returned both. Hated the lag between when I pressed the button and the picture snapped. Also hated the recycle time between picture. I grew up using a SLR 35mm and can't seem to break old habits. I want instant response and no wait time between pictures. My latest 35mm I could take a picture of the runner and get his foot just leaving the ground, mid stride and just touching the ground and that was slow. Last digital I tried the best I could do was get his leg somewhere in motion and next picture showed other leg beginning to move.
Grand daughter now has my 35mm camera with all the lens and filters. I still have a point and shoot Nikon that I will never stop using.
Refuse to pay smart phone data charge when I would only use WIFI.
If I could get smart phone that didn't require me to pay for a data plan I would snap it up in a heart beat.
Please don't suggest getting a smart phone and using sim card from a non smart phone to get service. All service providers are on to this and will catch up to you within weeks in this area.

New Walgreen's store that opened last week here does not have the photo department.
Take another look at digital cameras today. My newly acquired one will take 1080p HD videos.
All the manual settings are possible(focus, aperture, shutter, iso...).
All that lag inherent in some earlier cameras is essentially gone.

Actually this is moot.
My wife has informed me if I want continued happiness and tranquility I will get her an IPhone. Apparently not having one is impeding her shopping ability. It seems her favorite shopping haunts send digital coupons that can be redeemed by holding the iphone to the scanner and let them read the bar code.
After 49 years of marriage I have learned not to get between my wife and coupon bargain.
Besides she tells me I need to get with it and out of stone ages. I explained I would have to pay for a data plan and she said I could afford it to keep her happy which means she will keep me well fed and happy.
My problem is I hate to give up my 2001 era Nokia phone, which has the original battery and has been dropped so many times it thinks it is a basketball. Still carries a charge for a full week and always works exactly how I expect it to.
