Rather than a second vise on the face, drill a series of holes down the right leg. Then you can put in a support peg at the necessary height to support the right side of the board. May have to double up the thickness pf the right leg.

Of course you're right Chuck. I'm struggling to find a home for this awesome vise. Maybe I should just sit on it until the need arises.
