Spent most of the day working on this, well doing some cleaning, moving things around, but all related to the project at hand. Now I have to get on to yet another project.

No, I'm just going to remember all 725 bins contents and location........... Actually I want to take a photo of each box (25 bins) so I can do a visual search. If that doesn't work I may have to resort to labels. At some point it would be nice to do a bit more organization but I'm not there yet.

At moms, dad garage, my new shop area, I have spend days/weeks getting rid junk, depression babies, 14 pairs of work gloves, all right hand worn out, left hand fine, ect. Baby food jars full of mis bolts, nuts washers ect, hardware store is a 1,2 mile away, why???
Best advice I ever had, move every 5 years, if it anit unpacked or used toss it!!!Been there, done it

Says the throwaway generation. Recession has nothing to do with it. Waste not want not. My 'hardware store' is across town(the only one left). HD/Lowes not equal a hardware store. Besides they are not open 24/7/365.
Half glove pair - ya pitch em.

Great looking workmanship and a guy could cram a lot of little stuff in a small area. You stated it was a "Free Standing Unit", my concern would be as unstable as I am anymore with vertigo the first time I pulled out one of those top drawers, loaded with miscellaneous stuff, I might have it in my lap.

Are the parts containers the Stanley FatMax? Are they all identically compartmentalized? Do you think you have enough of them?

This latest cabinet is quite similar to one I built before. The openings are designed to fit either two of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000 ... =UTF8&th=1
or one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001G ... =UTF8&th=1
or one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004E ... UTF8&psc=1
The first shelf unit can hold up to 30 of the smaller ones or 15 of just the larger ones. As it is I have 10 smaller container and 10 larger.
Adding a shelf to the new unit cost me a bit, it can hold only 29 smaller units and that is what I have in it.
So at this point I have a total of 39 smaller ones and 10 larger ones.
The 39 smaller units have 25 bins each for a total of 975 bins, the larger ones are 10 bins so that adds 100 more.
This is called a start.

With all those Ed, you got way too much stuff, time to minimize.
When my garage got full, I was thinking about making a shed, back in the mid 80s, I figured a grand, gravel or cement base, then about 12 or 14 ft by 8 ft. I then had an inspiration, what do I do when that is full. No shed, I got rid of the junk in the garage and organized a bit.
