I'm pretty new to wood working so I'm trying to work on practical things that don't have to be heirloom quality. Bookcases right now. After that I have a charger station I want to build. And I'm also building an outdoor 'chest' to hold my wife's gardening tools (so it'll free up more space for me to get lumber.

My shop is my sanctuary. It is my special, fun place. It is open, year round, about 250 days per year. Almost all types of woodworking are practiced there. Mostly furniture type things including cabinets and shelves., but also some turned things and some carvings.
Also, there are the times when the machinery gets switched off and a T.V. football game is enjoyed.
The shop is also home to a woodworking library of some books and lots of magazines - so sometimes it serves as a research center.

I just finished the fireplace mantle, I think I posted the photos here. Right now I am making just a simple box to hold my dado set. When I purchased the set, it came in that plastic that they use now days. Anyway, I was having trouble keeping it all together, so thought I would build a container for it out of scraps.
Something I noticed! This subject brought out a lot of new posters. Names I have never seen before. That is really great.

I'll attach a photo of my most recent harp if I can figure out how to do it. It's number 40. (I've been making harps for about 6 years.)
Thank you for the picture, Melanie! Did you make all or part of that harp with your ShopSmith (I read about the drill press mode use, but knot the project)? I find harp music very beautiful.
