The Upper and Lower Saw Guard assemblies are currently listed available here on the website. The Upper Saw Guard assembly is part number or SKU: 514366 Price $99.95 and the Lower Saw Guard assembly is part number or SKU: 514358 Price $179.95. This is the Saw Guard Assembly pair (shown below) for all Mark V models except the Mark V 500 with the original Table System. It is also for the current Mark 7 (not the 1960's Mark VII) and the Mark 4.

Shopsmith USA currently has a policy of only accepting orders for items in stock.

Thanks Russ. That's the lower guard I ordered. Which looks exactly like the used lower guard I got off Ebay   . It took 73 years for me to realize I'm an idiot!!I couldn't get the Ebay guard to lower completely over the blade so I figured it was wrong. $252.00 (exchange rate CDN$ to US$)later I figured out that the Ebay guard and the new SS guard wouldn't lower because I had (I don't know why) taken the stop collar off the quill. :(
After re-installing the collar everything works fine. So I have an extra saw guard if anyone is looking (and an ER10 but thats another story)
Before I waste some more $, should I get the SS saw blade (I have the longer 1.25" arbor) or should I get the 5/8" saw arbor(which I assume is as long)?

This would be mostly a matter of personal choice. The SS blades are very good blades, but the availability of other good blades in your area could make the 5/8" arbor a better choice for you. It's a case of which choice is better for you. You won't go wrong, either way. JMHO

Thanks. I think I'll get the 5/8" arbor. Where I am takes a week to get parts even if I get them sent to a pickup depot in Montana. And with the smaller arbor I can get a new blade from my hardware store.

Just like the Saw Guards there are different Arbors for the Mark V 510/505, 520 etc. than the Mark 5/V 500. The 500 arbors, when different, are shorter. The attached picture shows the different 5/8" Arbors made for the Shopsmith tools over the years. For using 5/8" arbor hole saw blades you will need either 555608 or 555118. 555118 was the first one for the larger Table System Marks and has been replaced by 555608. Be aware that 555321 looks like 555118 but is shorter and for the 500 original Table System.
