blade marks

Post by bdorf »

Howdy All,

I've tried multiple times to use the SS alignment tool to align my planer blades, but I can't seem to get rid of the blade marks... I know it's supposed to be easy, but I seem to be unable to get it right! Any sage wisdom available?

Thanks.

Blade Marks??

The three blades need to ALL be at the same depth.

and

Each blade needs to be the same across the entire blade.

There are no secrets. It just takes time and concentration.

Pictures might help. Could the "blade marks" possibly be caused by the feed rollers and not be blade marks at all?
